SCENE 1 : HALLWAY MISCHIEF
Fabi stood in the hallway letting her pretty eyes gaze across it. Her hands were folded against each other while the cuffs of her smooth white shirt were unbuttoned exposing her fair white skin. Tossing her head sideways, she looked at an empty corner thinking that something might fit in there, a sweet idol or an illustrious mural maybe? ... This hallway was lacking a good decorative hand. Now that she thought of it, she had heard that a young handsome man with a taste in architecture had lodged himself in the Villa. She unknowingly bit her lower lip as she pictured the handsome male whom she had just seen the other day. Maybe he can help her decorate the Villa..
As If on cue, a tall broad shouldered man walked into the hallway, fixing up his suit. His eyes were glued to his phone, though he looked up upon seeing the maiden. His seemingly bored expression became more of a cold one, as he needed someplace to be and she was blocking the way. With a clear of his throat, he began to speak. ”Excuse me, but I kindly ask you to move. I’ve got a meeting in about 45 minutes.” His tone was sharp, and his brows furrowed as he scanned the room for a quick moment. His eyes travel back to the woman, and he tilts his head slightly. It seemed as though he was trying to figure out whom this familiar face was. ”Wait one second. You look oddly familiar. Have we met before?” His hands were now in his pockets, his expression remaining the same.
"Yes! ..I mean No... We technically don't know each other and I have only seen you passing through the corridors..but I do know who you are.." The girl blurted out quickly panicking a bit at his question. Her shyness shadowed over her pink cheeks as she spoke to him. She paused for a moment letting her mind calm down and think properly. "I was wondering if you would be so kind as to provide me some advice regarding the decoration of this passage..." Her tender voice hinted submissive nature while she kept staring down at the ground. "We can talk of that later, I see you are getting late for your meeting.." She said, finally letting her eyes meet his as she tucked her hair behind her ear.
Rehan lifted his head, and he lifted his brows whilst looking down at her as she spoke. If he noticed her nervousness, he didn’t comment on it and instead judged quietly. She seemed like a nice woman, though was much too sweet. Her tender voice drew him in, and he now understood how useful of a business tactic that was. Manipulation and bargaining was key, and she had the tone to pull it off. Upon hearing her question, his arms pop out of his pockets, and he crosses them while keeping his straight and stern face. He stopped for a minute to process what she had said, his eyes showing a spark of interest. This passage could use some cleaning up, as it wasn’t the most eye-catching and interest peaking. ”You need architectural advice?” He stops for a moment, scanning the room once more before making some mental notes. He clears his throat before adjusting his tie. ”I am a busy man. You can schedule an appointment, and I’m sure my assistant would love to clear up my calendar.” He plucks a card out of his suit pocket, handing it to her. ”Glad we were able to keep this nice n short. Goodbye.” He heads off towards the entrance, the smell of his rosy cologne lingering in the air after he passes.
"Right... Thank you." Fabi took the card and stood there getting mesmerized in dreaming about the male long after Rehan had already left, his perfume simply adding to her thoughts. Oh! How very charming was he! After a few moments, Fabi clapped her forehead, blushing slightly at how she had easily fallen for the man without even knowing much about him. After completing some of her Villa chores that afternoon, Fabi made herself comfortable on the living room's couch with a glass of wine to warm her cool spirit. Her attentioned travelled down to the card which was popping out from her pants' pocket, Rehan's card. The professional and minimal design on the card seemed pretty appealing to her and unwittingly her fingers pulled out her phone to dial at his office.
"Hello....." The appointment was scheduled on Saturday, today being Thursday, there were two more days to go and Fabi, being a woman of priorities wanted to get that hallway work done quickly. But nevertheless she was pretty inclined to meet him again. Later that evening, when the sun was nigh the horizon and the bright white moonlight was just illuminating the door of the Villa, Fabien had found herself a cozy place to sit and read an engaging romantic novel in the living room. Her long greenish nightgown hugged her breasts tightly whilst exposing her fair slender legs. Once in a while, she peeped over the edge of her book in the direction of the door just so that she could catch the glimpse of the handsome when he would return..
Rehan takes this act of generosity to his advantage, sitting down. He puts his phone away, his hands now cupped around the mug as he lets out another sigh. The man pauses before taking a sip of his tea and meeting eyes with the woman. Rehan closes his eyes at her question, before sitting up tall and opening them again. His expression got colder. ”I am doing fine. Just a busy day.” Short and quick to the point. That’s usually how it went in this case. The male doesn’t typically like to engage in much casual conversations, as he is hardly ever involved in them. ”What is it you’re staring at? My face can’t possibly be this interesting.” He says this rather bluntly, as if he was purposely trying to put her on the spot. He takes another sip of his tea, letting some strands of hair fall in front of his face to give him a more intimidating stare.
Clearly the meeting hadn’t gone well, as the moment Rehan entered the door he took off his suit jacket, wrapping it around his arm before running a finger through his slick, dark locks. An exasperated sigh escapes his lips and he starts towards the living room, turning his head to the petite woman. He eyes her up and down before readjusting his loose tie. ”Ah. You’re still here..” It was almost as if his tiredness left his body, and was back to his cold, stern self again. While his tone was still sharp, there was a slight gentleness to it. Of course, it was subtle though still there. The man heads into the kitchen, preparing himself a hot cup of tea. Before doing so, though, he sets down his jacket on a nearby chair and pulls out his phone. Tapping away, it seems as though he’s lost in his world for a minute.
Fabi looked away shyly when she felt his cold stern on her. They were the only ones in the living room as most of the Villa residents were busy in their rooms or sleeping. Letting her book rest to her side, she stood up straightening her gown before following him to the kitchen. "Are you alright Mr. Cree?" She asked softly, getting worried a bit. Her eyes travelled down his chest where his loose tie and upper buttons seemed to expose some of his built chest. "Let me do that for you. You can take a seat here comfortably ...." Fabi poured the hot tea into a cup and added some cream to flavour it a bit. Serving him the tea, she sat across him at the table resting her soft chin on her wrist while she eagerly waited for him to say something. Fabien now saw how occupied a man Rehan was, she innerly scolded herself for disturbing the man for such a trifle job as decorating the hallway. Being bred in English ways, Fabi had an air of shyness and loveliness of a Victorian Country girl. Her nature only made her want to help Rehan in soothing him and being under his order…
Rehan had raised his brows at her response, before looking away with a gentle sigh. The moonlight had reflected across his face, leaving him looking like a model. It was as if bits of the stars had sprawled themselves across his nose and cheeks, giving him a more masculine, defined face. ”Hm. Right.. Handsome.” Rehan seemed to have venom in his voice this time, as if those words had triggered something inside of him. He kept his cool for the most part, as he didn’t want to seem unprofessional. Not now at least. As she stood, Rehan’s eyes followed her. He noticed quickly what she was trying to do and pulled his eyes away, deciding to do the same. The man stood, ruffling the collar of his shirt which had exposed more of his collarbone. He finishes up his tea and brushes off his chest, sighing. ”Ah, yes. It is rather late. I’ve got plenty of work to do. Goodnight.” He says, grabbing his suit jacket and proceeding towards his room.
"Eh.. '' Fabi shifts her gaze towards the table quickly, her cheeks getting all pink with embarrassment. It was true that she had been eyeing his chest and handsome face for the past two minutes. "That's not true, You are quite handsome Mr.Cree.." She squeaks out shyly in response. His intimidating stare was penetrating her as if searching and stealing for her secrets within. She tried to look away for a moment but was soon drawn towards his eyes as if she wanted to feel more of them on her. Fabien let her hair loose before standing up and walking to pour down some juice for herself. She tried to flaunt her body just for him to notice. "It's getting late... I suppose you will be resting now?" She asked after her eyes had wavered to the brown pendulum clock hangit in the kitchen. It was way past twelve at night and the Villa had grown calm with a tinge of chilly air.
